The 4th Esperantist Chess Olympiad (the "Green Olympics") will be held July 7-16, 1995, in the Hungarian town of Kalocsa.  The Olympics is a chess team tournament with teams from various countires, mainly from Central and Eastern Europe.
An American (or at least half-American!) team has competed in each Olympiad since the 1st Olympiad (Kalocsa '83), then again in Poland (Siedlce, '87) and Czechoslovakia (Podebrady, '91).
With four players per team, we hope to compete this year with two teams from our side of the Atlantic!  You don't have to be a chess master (we are mostly amateurs) or totally fluent in Esperanto either.
Give it a try, because the next chance you'll have won't be until 1999!
