Luckily, the San Francisco Bay Area has a large number of opportunites to practice. Including the internet and relatively cheap travel methods, the whole world is waiting for you.

Northern California Yahoo Group list - here you will get notices of weekly conversation groups in San Francisco and Berkeley, a bi-weekly lunch conversation group on the Peninsula, the annual All-California Esperanto Congress and all kinds of other events from Sacramento, Davis and other hot-beds of internationals.
ELNA - The Esperanto organization for the USA, with offices in Emeryville (near Berkeley).
UEA - Universala Esperanto Asocio, The International Esperanto Association, based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
