"Prima de las lengas" ("Spring of Languages"): France, Toulouse (1987-2000)

The idea of LF was introduced by the occitans. They came to the idea to organize LF in order to turn attention to minority languages. In Toulouse LF is organized out-of doors, on the central square of the town. Everybody has the right to come and present any language by their own desire. All the participants had the possibility to talk to representatives of various languages and cultures and to examine stand-exhibitions, which represented the multi colored world of languages. One of the main parts of the Festival is the international concert held also on the central square of Toulouse.
