ULEJ and RumEJA: these are the abbreviations for two Esperanto youth organisations which are as of this summer country sections of TEJO. They are relatively new organisations, one in Ukraine, one in Romania, whose entry into TEJO will facilitate their cooperation with other sections. Cooperation plans on training for active members and information exchange are already in the pipeline.

There were lively discussions about congresses. The committee passed a resolution that the organisers of TEJO congresses must prove their attention to environmental protection. The question of congress fees is an issue which constantly provokes emotional reactions: despite differentials between certain country categories, many still feel that congresses in Western Europe are too expensive for a large part of TEJO's membership. A commission was set up to look into the matter further.

One of the more important decisions was to close the TEJO ofÞce in Bonn and increase activity in the Rotterdam ofÞce. Together with the newly elected executives (see Þrst page), the team there has already set to work enthusiastically!

Finally, the congress was also a chance for the committee members to improve contacts among themselves, not only ofÞcially but also on a personal level. It was an enjoyable and successful congress and young Esperantists are already looking forward to next year's congress in Rijeka, Croatia.
