The Gerda course in the Net

The Gerda-course is an intermediate Esperanto course by e-mail correspondence. It uses and contains the text of the book Gerda malaperis! by Claude Piron, which is already widely used for teaching in classes. The book is a miniature detective story using a carefully controlled vocabulary so that the most important and frequent Esperanto words appear earliest in the book. The grammar is introduced gradually. For someone who has completed FEC (Free Esperanto Course) the first few chapters are somewhat too simple, but anyone completing the course should have learnt a thousand of the most important and useful Esperanto words in a natural and entertaining way, and had exercise in thinking, reading and writing in Esperanto.

The course consists of 25 chapters,, each with comprehension questions about the contents of the chapter and various exercises. There is also a file "vortlisto" containing all the necessary words with translations and explanations.
