Esperanto Viva!Downloading to your computer! |
You will be prompted to enter a directory name, where the file will be placed. If you are in a multitasking environment (eg Windows) you may like to create that directory now. Otherwise use an existing directory and create a new directory later, then move the file into it.
The file will consist of a compressed version of the 'Esperanto Viva!' files. In order to decompress you will need the appropriate software indicated. If you do not already have that software, then click on the appropriate software name.
When decompressing, use an option which recreates subdirectories. The decompression software will create the subdirectory 'espviva', and below that the subdirectories 'bildoj' (which containes the pictures) and a subdirectory for your particular language, in this case 'angla' (English). Using your browser, select from this subdirectory the file 'index.htm' to call up 'Esperanto Viva!'. You may, if you wish, decompress more than one language version of 'Esperanto Viva!' into the same directory structure.
To send the exercises to your tutor, you must, of course, first reconnect to the Internet. The same applies when clicking on any hyperlinks to locations outside this course. You will know whether a link is local or not: if your browser displays the URL when you put your mouse pointer over the hypertexted word, then if this URL begins with "http://" then the link is not local (unless you are using a local server).
Please note that the 'Esperanto Viva!' course is copyright, but that copying is allowed, provided that it is not altered in any way, or repackaged. Bear in mind that changes may be made from time to time.
